How are you this week? I thought I would start sending out weekly emails to keep you updated with class days and times and just checking in to see how you’re all doing too!
First I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been coming to the classes and joining me online so far. I am so grateful that you keep popping up on my zoom, it fills me with joy when I see all of your faces, sitting on your mats ready to go and feel the zen with me.
As I sit here typing away to you this morning, the sun is blazing through my window and the sky is a gorgeous blue. Chief is up on the bed in savasana (as always)… It’s the little things that really put a smile on my face, especially as of late.
I hope everyone is feeling as positive as they can through this ‘new normal’ which we navigate ourselves through everyday.
Yoga has most definitely helped me keep my focus and anxiety levels to a minimum.
You have probably heard me say many times now to ‘stay with your breath’ during practice, but its also super helpful to take what you learn on the mat with you into your day, week or life in general.
When I find my mind racing and worrying about the future I try to remind myself to come back to my breathing. Observe how I feel. Take a deep inhale and exhale it out nice and slowly. This grounds me again and brings a sense of calm to my whole body.
I haven’t turned into a star baker or an Olympic runner during this pandemic and I’m okay with that. Lets be kind to ourselves and show a bit of self love to your wonderful mind and body this week.
